They are just beggers with a cardboard sign trying to make a buck off you at present and lag your system out for almost no better improvement. The sky and weather 'addons' you can buy, since the update, are a waste of time until they improve them. the sim honestly doesnt need nor require any of it. Wait and get them on sale IF you want any at all. most of them are not needed at all and only bloat the software. Unfortunately most (generally speaking) of the adddons for xplane charge about twice as much as they should. caranado for example, charges about twice as much as their aircraft are worth, but thats my opinion. I only will buy a plane if its worthwhile price. I prefer addons that cover entire areas of the globe or i wont even look at them. p[lenty of good ones in the sim already for me to use im content with. addin pushback and the other free mods and your happening.
however for passenger liner i use the freeware zibo 737-800 which slams down the gauntlet on everyone else. the question was originally asked about addon aircraft and airports. or is xp default a minimallized experience. That said i DO expect it to continue to get better. I have only one great dislike for xplane and its the horrible ATC. The scenery and weather etc isnt remotely as bad as someone else mentioned here.Īlmost everything knocks it out of the park in the comparison. Xp11 improved things enough for me to warrant the change over.
If you wantt to keep using that poor old thing go for it. I dont want this to be another fsx versus xp thing.
